Bruce Fowler started wrestling in sixth grade for the Great Bridge Wildcats.  He studied under the likes of the great Billy Martin Sr., Wayne Martin, and Steve Martin.  The Granby School of Wrestling was his life from middle school until he graduated college. It gave him the opportunity to win AAA Virginia state title and multiple freestyle state titles. His junior year at Great Bridge High School he went undefeated. He also was an All-American throughout high school.  He graduated with one of the best career records at wrestling in Virginia. He went on to get  a scholarship to Virginia Tech and started at 141 lbs.   He graduated in 2002 and moved to North Myrtle Beach. He trained North Myrtle Beach High School to second in the state and had a couple of individual State Champions.  He currently is the head coach at Ashley High School in Wilmington, NC.
